Saturday Oct. 3, 10 to 1a.m. (doors open at 9.30 am), the LMT Environmental Advisory Council will host a free presentation of “The Buzz About Bees: Pollinators in Peril” at the Lower Makefield Township Administrative Building, 1100 Edgewood Rd. in Yardley.
This presentation explores how every three bites of food comes to us from insect pollinators like bees, beetles and butterflies. Yet these lifegiving insects are threatened by a variety of issues. In a colorful illustrated lecture, writer-naturalist Mike Weilbacher introduces you to many of these amazing creatures up close, shares their extraordinary life histories, and importantly, provides the buzz on the many ways you can help preserve our imperiled pollinators.
