About 30 people gathered on Thursday, Sept. 18 at the Bucks County Courthouse courtyard in Doylestown for the 2025 Candlelight Vigil for Suicide Prevention, organized by Lenape Valley Foundation.

Held annually, the candlelight vigil is designed to honor and remember those who have been lost to suicide while providing crucial support to surviving family and friends. The event also aims to offer messages of hope and healing for the future, fostering community connection during a time of shared remembrance.

"This vigil represents our community's commitment to supporting one another through difficult times and ensuring that no one faces these challenges alone," said Dave Herold, CEO of Lenape Valley Foundation. "By coming together in this way, we honor those we've lost while strengthening our collective resolve to prevent future loss of life."

Music at the event was performed by Graham Craig, and Lake Angela, the 2024 Bucks County Poet Laureate, read one of her poems to the crowd.
