Get out and ride, trails are all around.

Bucks County and the surrounding areas offer some of the best and safest riding options in southeastern Pennsylvania. From paved rail trails to scenic lake loops, the area has routes perfect for beginners, families, and experienced riders looking for longer adventures. Whether you want a relaxing cruise or a fitness-focused ride, there’s a trail nearby that fits your style.

Below are just a few suggestions. Always check any trail signage for speed guidelines and ensure you use proper bicycle etiquette, such as keeping speeds under 15 mph and giving warning when approaching and passing pedestrians and other riders. A cheerful, “On your right!” or a melodious bicycle bell along with a courteous, “Thank you, beautiful day, isn’t it?”, as you pass others will go a long way toward keeping all trail users happy.

A popular spot is Peace Valley Park and the nearby Lake Galena Hike and Bike Trail. This scenic loop features smooth paths, beautiful water views, and gentle terrain that make it ideal for e-bikes. Riders can enjoy a peaceful six-mile ride around the lake while avoiding vehicle traffic. The area is especially popular because it offers a mix of paved and packed gravel surfaces with plenty of room for casual riders and families.

Another excellent option is the Doylestown Community Bike and Hike System Trail, which connects neighborhoods, parks, and downtown Doylestown through a growing network of multi-use paths. The borough continues expanding its bike-friendly infrastructure, giving riders safer alternatives to busy roads.

For riders looking for longer paved rides, the Walter C. Berry Trailhead provides access to the 202 Parkway Trail, a wide multi-use trail that stretches nearly nine miles through Bucks and Montgomery counties. The separated pathway and smooth asphalt make it one of the safest places for higher-mileage e-bike rides.

If you want a longer ride, the Delaware Canal Trail and Pennypack Trail are favorites among local cyclists for their scenic views and quaint local river towns.
