Bucks County Community College proudly presents Bucks Live!, a series of innovative programs that entertain, inspire and enrich Bucks County’s cultural landscape. Take in world-class live music, dance and theater performances close to home and at an affordable price.

A piano virtuoso comes to Newtown at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Nov. 6, when ELEW Plays Sting. Eric Lewis – known as ELEW – reimagines Sting’s iconic songs through his electrifying rock-jazz style.  Known for his intense performances, ELEW often incorporates percussive techniques directly inside the piano.

The Philadelphia Classical Guitar series continues at 3 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 7, with French guitarist Gabriel Bianco. An internationally acclaimed performer, chamber musician, recording artist and educator, Bianco has performed in prestigious venues worldwide and collaborated with many of today's leading singers and instrumentalists.

Next, the Bucks Drama Club presents “Frankenstein,” a well-crafted adaptation by award-winning playwright Mark Scharf that remains very true to Mary Shelley’s classic novel. The curtain rises at 7 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 19 and Friday, Nov. 20, followed by a 1 p.m. matinee Saturday, Nov. 21.

Student talent again takes the stage at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 2, with a collaborative holiday concert. The BCCC Concert Choir under the direction of Rochelle Reed will be joined by the Council Rock High School Choral Department and Youth Orchestra of Bucks County's Honors String Quartet in a performance of Vivaldi's “Gloria” as well as other holiday favorites to celebrate the season.

All performances take place in the Zlock Performing Arts Center on the Newtown campus at 275 Swamp Rd. in Newtown., where there is ample free parking. Come early for refreshments at the Zlock Lobby Bar.  Learn more at bucks.edu/tickets.
